General Operative Soils

 

Reporting to:                      Operations Manager Soils

Location:                              Portlaoise Depot

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Daily management of operations within the Soil Processing sheds

  • Taking ownership and responsibility of shed operations and throughput to agreed targets

  • Driving of company assets used in the processing of soil and wood

  • General maintenance of company assets used in the soil processing shed

  • Coordination of customers and sub-contractors for the input and removal of pre and post processed material

  • Careful management of Stock and utilization of capacity within the sheds

  • Liaising with weighbridge on subcontractor deliveries and outgoing material and the processing of the necessary regulatory documents  

  • Liaise with colleagues on site and the soil team and agree daily operational plan

  • Report daily/weekly KPIs

  • Input into the management and updating of Company standard operating procedures (SOPs),

  • To adhere to the company’s Health and Safety policy and procedures at all times, including but not limited to:

  • To wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) at all times

  • To highlight any safety concerns to your Manager immediately and to report any accidents/ incidents to your Manager immediately

  • To report all non-conformances to the relevant personnel and to follow up to ensure compliance requirements are met

  • To ensure that housekeeping is kept to a high standard around the site and that all activities comply with health and safety requirements

  • To communicate any issues that arise to the Operations Manager/ Supervisor immediately

  • To be flexible to carry out other duties as may be requested of your Manager from time to time

 

Other Duties:  

  • To act courteously and communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, Enva personnel and other personnel encountered within your role;

  • To foster and develop good customer and public relations at all times and to portray a professional image of the company; 

  • To conduct all duties in a constructive and productive manner aligned to the interests of the company and management;  

  • To act diligently and professionally in the interests of the Company;

  • To demonstrate a willingness to promote the positive development of the business to all stakeholders of the business including customers but also extending to staff, contractors, EPA, HSA etc.

 

Licences/ Skills/ Experience required:  

·        Teleporter license (Essential)

·        Track machine license (Not essential but preferable)

·        Ability to work on own initiative 

·        Good communication skills
